Terms of use
Effective July 27, 2026
Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account and competition information, protecting your credentials, and activity performed through your account. Privileged roles require multi-factor authentication.
Your content
You retain ownership of your astrophotography. You grant AstroLeague the limited rights needed to store private originals, create display derivatives, present content you publish or enter, review evidence, and operate and secure the service.
Acceptable use
Do not upload content you lack permission to share, expose private locations, falsify acquisition or eligibility information, interfere with blind judging, evade account restrictions, or use the service to harm other people or systems.
Membership and billing
Explorer is free. Supporter and Imager Pro are monthly, automatically renewing subscriptions that increase original-image storage for one account. The final price, any tax, billing timing, and payment method are shown by Stripe before confirmation. No free trial is included. Payment never changes competition scoring, entry eligibility, or judging.
Plan changes, cancellation, and refunds
Stripe shows the effective date and any charge or credit before a paid plan change is confirmed. Upgrades may take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations are scheduled for the end of the current paid billing period. You can update payment methods, review invoices, change plans, or cancel from Membership and billing in your account. Charges are non-refundable and are not prorated after cancellation except where required by law or where Stripe explicitly shows a credit before a plan change.
Storage after a downgrade
Before a downgrade or cancellation that would place an account over its new storage limit, AstroLeague requires a separate acknowledgement that content can be permanently deleted. When the lower limit takes effect, new uploads pause and a 30-day grace period begins. If usage still exceeds the limit after that period, AstroLeague removes the oldest eligible images, including private originals and public derivatives, until the account fits. Images retained for competition integrity are skipped and may require staff review. Members must keep independent copies of important originals.
Enforcement and availability
AstroLeague may restrict content or accounts to protect members, intellectual property, service security, and competition integrity. The service may change or experience interruptions, so members should retain independent copies of important originals.
